The beaches in Maremma near Scarlino

By choosing La Cianella for your holiday in Tuscany, you can easily reach the most beautiful beaches of Maremma.

The closest sea is at Puntone di Scarlino (7 km) with bathing establishments for all needs and with the possibility of booking.

You can't miss a visit to the beach of Cala Violina (10 km from the car park) reachable only on foot with a comfortable 1.5 km path, which owes its name to the particular "violin sound" that is produced when walking on its clear and extremely fine quartz sand. In high season, reservations are required for parking and for each person to enter the beach.

If you want to discover places that cannot be reached on foot or by car, at Marina di Scarlino you will find boats available for day trips to Cala Violina and the surrounding area.

Punta Ala is a few km further away (20 minutes by car from La Cianella) and offers a sandy beach of almost 5 km of free access or with bathing establishments as well as an equally important tourist port.

Continuing further south, the coast of Castiglione della Pescaia offers many bathing opportunities, among which Le Rocchette is certainly the most suggestive.
